Functional Safety
The TÜV Rheinland Functional Safety Program is the only worldwide extended vocational training program in the area of Functional Safety where knowledge and competencies are approved of by a third neutral party and where certificates are issued.
TÜV Rheinland has institutionalized this training program in 2004 together with national and international companies and experts of the Functional Safety business. Since today more than 10,000 engineers have participated in the various training topics and have become a so called “Functional Safety Engineer (TÜV Rheinland)”.
Participants of the training course will receive, upon successful completion, a TÜV Rhineland certificate including a TÜV Rhineland Functional Safety Engineer ID number.
Course Instructors:
are certified TÜV Rhineland Functional Safety Experts – SIS according to the TÜV Rhineland Functional Safety Program from United States.
Course objective:
The main objective is to provide all engineers involved in safety instrumented systems with basic and necessary knowledge about functional safety, based on the leading international functional safety standards IEC 61508 and IEC 61511.
A second objective is to give anybody attending the course the opportunity to have his or her functional safety competency confirmed by the TÜV Rheinland upon successfully passing the exam.
Course Program:
Three – day class which provide detailed information and examples/discussions for understanding and mastering the requirements of IEC61508 / IEC 61511 functional safety. Examination will be in day 4.
